Terms of Service

NonProfit.it is a free public information directory of Italian nonprofit organizations. It helps visitors discover profiles, compare public information and reach organizations through their official channels. It is not a government website, certification body, fundraising platform or payment intermediary.

You may browse and use the service for lawful personal, civic, editorial or research purposes. You must not interfere with security, overload the infrastructure, scrape the service in a way that disrupts it, circumvent access controls or use the site to mislead other people.

You may submit a missing organization or suggest a correction. You must provide information you reasonably believe is accurate and may only upload material you are entitled to share. Submission does not guarantee publication. NonProfit.it may verify, edit, reject, merge or remove material to protect data quality and the rights of others.

We work to keep profiles clear and current, but public registers and organization websites can contain errors or change without notice. Review and transparency labels describe checks performed by NonProfit.it; they are not official certifications, ratings or guarantees. Always confirm sensitive information, payment details and legal status through the organization and the relevant official source.

The NonProfit.it name, interface, editorial texts, original illustrations and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Organization names, marks and materials remain the property of their respective owners. You may quote and link to public pages within the limits of law, with clear attribution and without implying endorsement.

Links to donations, volunteering, events, social profiles and organization websites lead to independent third-party services. Any transaction or relationship takes place directly between you and that organization or provider. Check the destination domain, terms, privacy notice and payment details before acting.

The service is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, NonProfit.it is not liable for decisions made solely on directory information, temporary unavailability, external content or transactions completed on third-party websites. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Do not submit unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate material; impersonate another person or organization; upload malicious code; or attempt to obtain unauthorized access. Content or activity that threatens people, organizations or the service may be removed and reported where required.

The directory, its features and these terms may change as the project develops. The current version and effective date are published here. Continued use after an update means that the new terms apply from their stated effective date.
